sqeaky belt?????????

a friend of mine has a pony and the belt keeps sqeaking loudly even after its been sprayd with dressing.... any ideas??????????

damn, i guess i need a new belt then, i was told the dressing would be fine for my belt. it was called something like squeak be gone, what it did was make the chirping a constant very very loud screech for about five minutes then it would go quiet, for about a day, then the chirping would be back, its still there, and now it seems my belt wont last long either

i thought it may be the tensioner... ill be under the hood tomorrow... hopefully its not a pain...
