Starter won"t engage

My 01 St wouldn't engage the starter this mourning. All the lights,switches,horn, works. It has a new battery. It's 4 degrees with 4" of fresh snow so I am hoping one of you folks has an idea of what to check first. I hope you can save an old guy from crawling around in the snow.

Replaced relay ,everything started right up.Seems like these things never happen on nice days.

Did you try a rubber mallet first ??? Maybe it was just frozen ???

Even in bad weather, that is not a bad fix compared to many others...

Yes I lucked out ,first thing I tried and I even had the right part on hand,how often does that happen.:smile0006:

I have a little remote security starter on my key chain. You push the remote button and you are allowed to start the truck. Well when it is cold the remote doesn't work well from inside the truck. I have to open the window, hold the remote out the window and then push the button.
