Is the Sport Trac still being produced? Just checked the Ford site, and I can't find a listing for the Sport Trac!

Arghhh, you just threw salt into a gaping wound on this forum!:boohoo:

To answer your question, no, no longer in production.

Alas, it is not (last I heard). They closed the plant that made them.

The Louisville factory is still in operation, just making Explorers and in the future, other Ford vehicles. Due to the recession and drastically reduced Ranger production we were told it is only operating at about one-third capacity.

Not to belabor the issue, but some of us toured the factory last year and they made Explorers, Mountaineers (when they made them), and Sport Tracs on the same line. The system is sophisticated enough not to drop a Sport Trac bed onto an Explorer body. Somehow the red doors magically appear at the same time as the red body and get bolted on in about 10 seconds.

The same factory also produced the Edsel. Just sayin'....
