I'm about to change my 6 disc Pioneer HU to a more ipod friendly aftermarket. My question for you knowledgable ST folks - is there a straightforward way to still utilize the stock sub/amp behind the seat with a new system? If so, how so?

Thanks,

John

use the harness made by best kits the BHA5700R the harness will allow you to turn the amp on and also is already converted over to plug right into the back of your aftermarket (especially if you have SUB woofer controls w/ the new deck). heres a pic of it.

I installed the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 in my 07 and it plugged rite into the Audiophile sub/amp using the wiriing harness adaptor I purchased from Crutchfield.

Looks like MPTony and I posted at the same time....purchase from that place instead, they are a little cheaper.

You guys rock...thanks for the feedback! I just went on Ebay and found the same item for a few dollars less. It's amazing to see the problem solving power of an affinity group like this site. Cudos!
