My friend is gonna be giving me a 10" Earthquake sub for free cause he just upgraded and I was wondering if it would fit in a sport trac underseat enclouser.

It has a 5 1/4" mounting depth and that is all I know about it right now. Never heard of Earthquake before but it sounds REALLY good for a 10".

Edit Found This.

Thanks guys. Is there anyway to add a port to the underseat box? Or is there not anuff room for one? His enclouser was ported and I love the way it sounds.

Damn oh well. Should still be anuff bass for me sealed if not I will get another box and think about removing the 40% split seat maybe. Another question about an amp. The specs for the sub

MODEL: DBXR-10D

800-W

10" cast subwoofer

Single voice coil 2 x 4-ohm

2" voice coil, aluminum bobin

MAX Power 800 Watts

120 Oz double stacked magnet

Would this amp be good for this sub (amp is also an Earthquake)

Earthquake PH800W.2 Amp

Number of channels:2

Max power output:800 Watts

Power 2-ohm mono:1 x 500

RMS power 4-ohm mono:1 x 300

RMS power 4-ohm stereo:2 x 120

Damping factor:>800

Cross over slopes:24dB/OCT

THD:>0.016

SNR:104dB

Class:A/B

Speaker connection:12-Gauge

Recommended

power connection:8-Gauge

Input type:Independent Low Level RCA

Dimension:2 1/2" x 10 3/8" x 6 1/2"

Looking at the specs for both it seems more than capable.

Thanks again for all the help guys.

How about a Directed Audio 750D? 400wRMS and 1200wPEAK at 2Ohm Load or is that gonna be too much? I heard Directed Audio is made by the same company as Orion and its the same amp as a Orion 600D but about $150 cheaper at only $109.

750 dynamic spec power

275x1 @ 4

400x1 @ 2

600x1 @ 1

Full 18db variable low pass crossover

Thanks don't know much about car audio.

It's written kind of misleading. I think they were redundant in that it's a 2" 4ohm voicecoil. It wouldn't be a single voice coil if there are 2.

edit: website says single voicecoil.. so it's 4 ohm no wiring any different.
