Ok I have read alot of the posting AND NO-ONE HAS ASKED THE QUESTION I WANTED TO SO i WILL.i DON'T WANT TO CHANGE ANYTHING BUT THE SUBWOOFER IN MY 04 SPORT TRAC .

i WANT TO KEEP EVERYTHING FACTORY AND JUST UP GRADE THE SUB ITSELF.I DON'T KNOW IF THE AMP IN THE REAR OF THE TRUCK IS PUSHING ALL OF THE SPEAKERS OR JUST THE SUB.BUT ONCE AGAIN,I WANT TO KEEP EVERYTHING NICE AND FACTORY AND JUST GET A BETTER SUB AND AMP.CAN THIS BE DONE AND HOW.

ALSO HOW DO YOU LET THE BACK SEAT ALL THE WAY DOWN SO YOU CAN WORK ON THE AMP AND SUB?

THANKS CHRIS

ummm... pull lever... push down on rear seat.... if it hits the front seat then move front seats forward.

as far as stereo upgrades go I would insist that you change the door speakers beofe you changed the rest as the door speakers are CRAP!!!

the stock amp only pushes about 6v max per channel from what i observed this weekend, it wont push a decent sub. pick up a JL 6W0 and an aftermarket amp, use the stock box. just have to flip the rubber/beauty ring on the 6w0 around and it'll just barely clearance into the box :)

04-05 Audiophiles had 6-inchers in the rear compartment, 04-05 Adrenalins had 8-inchers in an enclosure under rear seat I believe.

Chris, on my 04 Audiophile, I got sounds from the door speakers even with the sub/amp disconnected. I recently tried to install an Adrenalin head unit on but could not get sounds out of it (although it had power), but I attribute this to faulty wiring on combining different harnesses (I realized I have one wire that doesn't have a pin). I haven't gotten around to it, but after hearing the door speakers all by themselves, I'm going the opposite route your are by replacing them and keeping the 6-inch sub.
