Subwoofer question

I have a jl 8w3 and have noticed a popping sound from the sub. Any idea what it might be?. The sub is not overpowered or underpowered and it is still functioning.

Maybe a lose wire or dirty connection....I would check that first, on both ends...

ripped or damaged voice coil





just visually inspect the sub overall and see if anything is ripped, torn or un-connected.
