Hello. The Summit Load Plus you have listed does fit many applications not listed in the applications reference. Unfortunately, without tested info on the product, I cannot guarantee the item will work for your vehicle. The application guide does list Explorer models up to 1999, but I do not have any mechanical info to the similarities.

If I can be of further assistance let me know.

That was the response I received from Summit Racing on the Summit Sway Control Plus Kits (was $39.95 in 2005, but now $33.95 for 2006).

I'm still wondering if this would be a worth-while investment or just another way to throw away $40. Would anyone else invest in these?

If you haven't already done so, upgrade your shocks and get the EE sway bar instead. These mods offer a great improvement in handling. Also, you could install a Roadmaster Active Suspension kit.

LB, comming from someone who DOESN"T have the EE sway bar and can't get the $$ to get one or the $$ to get the Roadmaster suspension, I have also looked into something like you are looking at. The price is nice and I'd say that since it fits leafsprings up to 2 1/2", what could it hurt? If it doesn't help, then you are only out $40. I have a hell of a time getting my wife talked into anything for the ST. If I didn't, mine would be completely tricked out. But as I said, that is not the case. (I know "whipped") But I have been seriously looking into the same exact thing, just haven't pulled hard enough yet on my wife's ears. Give me time.;)

I posted about this acouple weeks ago and I decided to get it but havent installed it yet. I have the EE sway bar and also have replaced my stock shocks but if it helps it helps if not I'm out $40. I could always sell it to someone it will help and be out nothing.

Iam an old fart, and I hve tried alot suspension mods in my time,,,to me those are simular to something I used for load control, I used 20 years ago..thet didnot help with sway..

A good swaybar works from compressing against the leaning side, but also tuging against the opposite side off the bar...IMO saving the $40 towards the EE bar will be better spent...
