If you went to the Super Bowl site, with an unpatched version of Windows, you may have picked up a Trojan horse. Read about it here:

This was not a Browser related security breach, so I don't believe that using the FireFox browser would have made a difference. It was a known weakness in how Windows handles VML. There were patches made to Windows in September and January to close the breach. If you had the patch you are safe, but for those who did not install the patch, are vulnerable.



The malicious code includes a key-logger and a remote control agent that allows the havker to take control of your computer and probably get various passwords and even credit card numbers if you make online purchases.
