I just acquired a Super Chips Flashpaq that I will be using on my '05 Ranger 4.0 SOHC. I messed with it a little this weekend and uploaded the performance tune. What a difference that made! My question is: Has anyone here messed with these enough to maybe tell me which tune will produce the best improvement in fuel economy? I know with performance products that fuel effeciency usually suffers. The tuner came standard with 3 tunes (performance tune, towing tune, and stock tune with user options). I can change tire size, gear ratio, shift points and pressure along with increase rev limiter and remove speed limiter. Do you think the performance tune is my best bet as long as I can keep my foot out of it? Or would messing with the options yield better results? Thanks for all the help and input.
