Check out the S/C from Edelbrock. It will fit, but you will have to do a little modifying. Your battery will need to go where the stock airbox was as the intake is directed towards the drivers side. If you have some mechanical knowledge, this mod or a re-do of the intake tubing should be a snap. BC

PS: Also check out Saleen superchargers and the Roush unit from Ford.

...how quickly some are forgotten.

I'm not 100% certain, but the Saleen Series VI charger I have in my '08 ST may be CA legal. I'd have to check out what the differences are between New York State where I am, and California to be sure. NY has been getting tougher, though I passed emissions in NY this past May after some adjustments to the SCT x3 tune, as a couple of systems weren't active by default. All ended well.

My website has a bunch of info and photos about the Saleen install that Brenspeed did for me. While Saleen was their first choice and mine, they did also mention Edelbrock. BBR (Blow-By-Racing) in Florida just recently finished I believe a Roush charger (Eaton M90?) in an '08 Adrenalin 2WD.

You have a few options. It's very do-able. There were a few other modifications with the Saleen setup (hoses, alternator position, big electric fan in place of stock, some wiring harness mods, larger fuel injectors, relocating the coolant recovery tank... are some that come to mind off hand). No relocation of the battery on my setup.

The stock '07 and '08 Sport Trac 4.6L 3V should have the same setup under the hood.

Best of luck. Give a shout if I can help with info from my experiences.

update...

Looks like NY adopted CA CARB emissions standards. My setup should pass in CA.

"Have other states adopted the California emissions laws?

At the present time there are several states that have enacted the California laws (i.e. Mass., Maine, New York, New Jersey and Vermont) and new vehicles are sold as "California Emissions Equipped Vehicles". "

Ron, to be legal in CA. it must have an EO # If it doesn't it's not legal and will not pass inspection.

There are a number of states that have adopted the CA. emissions standard but are still not as strict as CA.

The best thing to do is ask the manf. of the suppercharger is it legal for sale in CA. and have the EO # and is it legal for the Sport Trac. If it's designed for the Mustang it may not be legal even though it may work on the Trac.
