Some think tank funded by the oil industry is behind the commercial, CEI. I think their goal is to manipulate ideas and facts, so that they blur the truth and try to bend legislation their way.
In other words, something like "This planet needs carbon dioxide, it makes the plants grow, and the planet warm, so that we prevent another Ice Age, and keep life going. Greenhouses are supposed to be warm and full of life, and carbon dioxide. We need more carbon dioxide for life. Support your local oil refiner by telling congress to stop legislation passing limits on carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere."
They even ask you to donate. I can't wait until their site is hacked.
