Tail Gate Damper installed in Gen 2

Just wanted to mention, the tail gate damper that some folks use on the Gen 1 will work on the Gen 2 truck with a little modification. All I had to do was weld an extension (approx 3 inches) to the mounting plate that attaches to the lanyard bolt. The bottom mounting plate worked as-is with the supplied blind fastener nut that comes in the kit. The kit says it's for a GM truck, but it works fine once you move the top mounting plate down a couple inches or so.
