Tar!!!!

I recently got tar on my truck and rims!! I dont know how to get it off some people say disel but im scared that will screw up my paint job! please help!

WD40 is the safest and most effective in my opinion. You just have to wipe off the greasy residue or it will collect dirt real easy.

Another vote for "Bug and Tar" remover...surprisingly it smells and seems like WD-40 mixed with rubbing compound.

I would use the bug and tar remover. Name speaks for it self, and is really easy to find at a auto parts store. :huh:

I have used the bug and tar and wd40.But I found something great for the plastic. Use the Mr clean magic erasers. They will also take that wax residue off if you get it on any of the plastic._Ron

I've always used gas. Just lightly rub with a cloth, thoroughly wash the area, and reapply wax.
