Most amazing thing is the 30 runs were all earned. Baltimore had an error but it did not lead to an unearned run.



The ERAs of the four Baltimore pitchers took a beating.

Small technicality, but that statement isn't true. The Chicago Colts scored 36 in a nine-innning game in 1897. That's both the record, and the most recent 30+ run game. Although this obviously doesn't diminish how impressive it was.
