I need to buy some tea for an important client who is from Bangkok. I've done tons of research to make sure I buy the right stuff so as not to offend, but I wanted to get some input from those of you who are from Thailand or have first hand experience with the tea. Any suggestions will be considered, and there is no budget for the gift. Thanks!

I know my office has contacted the office in the other country and simply asked the receptionist that sort of info...

We're dealing with a woman who is from there and now lives in the US. I wish I could just pick up the phone and call Thailand to find out, but that isn't really feasible.

Go to an Asian grocery- also, I know of two types of Thai tea- hot tea, which is typically jasmine or something similar, and Thai iced tea, which is a rich red tea mixed with sweetened condensed milk- delicious!

Buy Thai tea for someone from Thailand would be like buying a BigMac for someone from the US, wouldn't it?

Are you sure she does like tea?

Just curious

I was going to say the same thing, Fer. Why not get them something exotic...something from the good old USA. A gift basket with: pitt-bull BBQ sauce; a pair of jeans in his/her size; a Texas hat; some soft Philly pretzels; and a cold-pack of Nathan's hot dogs.
