Here is my annual survey on which yellow page add is the better choice. I'm dropping the size from 3/4 page down to 1/2 page. (cheaper price) There is also $35 price difference between the yellow background and the white background (more) OK,,,, so what's your choice???

UPDATE: They wanted to increase my charge by 200$ for the old add. Soo, I dropped down in size and and got a discount. Now instead of paying $571 at the new rate, I'm at $306 with the smaller add. These guys are crooks, but I have to be in the yellow pages............

NEW ADD

Are the yellow pages actually yellow? The yellow background might make the ad look funky on a yellow page. WIth that said, the one with the white background is easier to read to me.

What l1tech said....the generic one and change U.S.A.F. to USAF.

I like either one. Agree with USN-ret about changing to USAF.

Sharp looking ad. I like it.

Wish you were here in Central Misery, I would have you change out/re-key all my locks and install some new deadbolts for my eight exterior doors.

Hey LaRue,

I don't know that the background page color makes that much difference in my opinion? I would probably go with the cheapest....you are already getting a half page ad, so that should be enough of an "Attention Gitter"...LOL I would only consider the white background if the ad were much smaller, and easily lost in the other ads. I don't think a full-page, or half page ad is going to get overlooked.

Since you have some space in the area--might you want to increase the font size on the cell number?

And you probably don't need the period after "and surrounding areas"

Otherwise, I think it looks great!!

Les,,, I'm about 160 miles away

Bill,, My cell phone is the number I started with, I'm trying to get all my business through the other number. I want to keep the cell there but not tryingg to make that a main number.. Both numbers are cell phones.. I'll drop the period... good catch

Scott,,, I was just trying to simulate the page being yellow. Yellow background is cheaper..

LaRue, if that's the case with the numbers, then yes, I agree, there's no need to make the second one bigger. I was thinking that the large one was an "office" number, and the small was the cell.

Although--if they're both cell numbers, why even list the second one? (Or, for that matter, why continue to have the cost of the second line at all?) Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there's a reason--I'm just not seeing it, and am curious...

One other quick note--I see you have "SHAW" in all caps. Is it an acronym, like "AFB" and "USAF"? If so, then it's proper to leave it in all caps. But if not, I'd recommend changing it to "Shaw"...

Bill,,, I don't have an "office" per se, I'm strictly mobile and I'm still getting calls on my original number, although the volume has drasticly dropped. I plan to keep it a couple more years and then I will probably drop it. Heck, it's only 9.99$ for the extra line and it's mixed mnutes with all 4 of my numbers. And for the SHAW AFB,, I want to drive attention to that since myself and only 1 other locksmith go to the base for lockouts. It turns out that when military people see I have base access and am retired AF, they call me first. Thanks for the inputs, that's why I come back for "help".. You guys give me the customer side of things.

Only you and one other have base access? I thought one of the points of becoming a locksmith was that those skills gave you "access" pretty much anywhere...

:bwahaha:

La Rue ... thanks, had you been I was going to fwd your info to our niece [single] in case of need. That's about the most I could do for you from Nashville, TN.

LaRue, are you asking for feedback again on the new, reduced-size one? Or is it locked in, and you're simply sharing the result?

Just sharing. I had to lock it in by yesterday. I'm happy with it but not excited... But you have to do what you can...
