I had my ST programmed for premium fuel using 93 octane. I Knew I needed to be ready for a dealer visit so filled up with 87 and loaded the stock tune. Folks, I don't know how my ST gets out of its own way with that tune. As soon as possible, I am going back to the performance tune using 93 Octane. It ran better, shifted better, and guess what.......it got better gas mileage. 2 mpg city better. 1.5 mpg highway better. The down side, 93 is going way up in price. Might need a special tune to run 91 octane. The Stock tune is so bad, I immediately put it on the 87 performance tune just have a short drive in stock mode. I'll just keep the flasher in the car in case the dealer calls for my expected service.

I know what you mean. My '04 with the 93 performance tune is great compared to 87 stock or 87 performance.

Yes Russ is a customer of mine who I believe was skeptical on the onset of my skill at building custom calibrations for the ST. It appears now that's no longer the case.
