Throttle body spacer

OOps I had 1 more. I had the Zabteck throttle plastic body installed recently so I removed that corny power aid spacer. when doing that I noticed that the throttle had way to my slack. So I had to reinstall the spacer with the Throttle body to cut down on the slack of the cable. Can i go to ford and purchase a new cable or will it have that same loose slack. I could probably tie a knot in the slacked cable but that in my opinion isn't safe. Please advice

Did you remove the cable extending plates that were also installed with the spacer ???

Can you adjust the cable housing clamp point.? To take up the slack?
