Ticking and Tapping

Hello! I'll keep it short and sweet. I have been hearing a ticking noise from my passenger side. You can really hear it if you stick your ear to the wheel well. I have an 08 xlt 4x4, 4.0L v6. From my quick google search it could be either a valve issue or maybe an exhaust manifold/gasket that could be leaking just a tiny bit. Anybody have experience with this?
