I was wondering if the Timing chain issue was for 01 and 02 ST's I have an 03 could it still be an issue with this or could it just be I need to change my fuel filter? I run 89 octane and full synthetic oil. Any ideas. Thanks

we had the same problem with ours and we had to change out the timing chain guides they are plastic we did it ourselves the dealer will charge 1500 i believe was the price , you have to pull the motor and get the cams retimed if you do it yourself its a good three day job if thats your problem good luck check for a recall there is one out there

Lj, If you haven't changed the filter, I would do so, and double check the obvious like a vacuum leak and things like that. Once those are all ruled out, Then you can lean toward the rattle...Also if under warranty still, I would have it checked asap..
