I am going to need to get new tires before this winter and have been thinking of getting different rims. I currently have the stock I believe 16" pinwheel looking rims. My trac is dark blue with the gray trim and would like to get larger (18"-20") chrome or "colored" rims. I dont know anything about rims so that is why I am turning to fellow tracer for help. I don't want larger tires, because I don't want to have fix my gauges. what size rim can i use with low profile tires to keep everything else stock? I live in Northeast Iowa so weather is a big factor (deep snow, heavy rain and gravel roads). Can anyone tell me if low profile tires will work well in those conditions? Any advice would be great.

Also thoughts on chrome and black rims on a blue and gray trac?

Greg, I've done exactly as you propose. I use the stock 18" aluminum rimes for the winter with Blizzak snow tires. For the summer, I run a Boss 327 rim, 20"x8.5" with Toyo 275/45-20 tires which are the same rolling diameter as the stock tire/rim setup. It might seem like a hassle to change the rims out every season, but the only small difficulty is to reassign the TPMS sensors with each change.(takes the shop a few minutes to do so). Here's mine in summer trim....
