Well I was poly bushings on the shocks this afternoon, and noticed that because of the ball joints being worn (appt. to get replaced on Mon. along w/ all the control arms) the tires now need to be replaced. I am now running the OEM size of 235/70/16. I am going from a TOYO Open Country A/T to the TOYO Open Country H/T All Season tire which are a P-metric (passenger not Light Truck) tire. My question is since I want to go +1 on the tire size do I get a 245/70/16 or a 245/75/16? I am going for comfort w/o decreasing gas milage. Thanks :D

I have 285/75/R16 SuperSwamper Trxus Mud terrains. love them! Gas mileage is stooopid, but I get to go where i want. The came at 80psi. Don't know why exactly. Lots of crab walking and sketchy at high speedsI drooped them down to 35 and will probably put them back upo to 40-45. The ride is a little rougher but not as loud as other mudders. I have to cut seom plastic on the left fron to clear for steering and have a 3in body lift. If I could have afforded the suspension lift I would have went that way and skipped the body lift all together. Also these are about 8in wide and I would have had ten, but couldn't find any decent 10in wide rims with bolt pattern. My stock rims fit on ranger, but I was told the ST has funky bolt pattern. Anyway you can see the tires in my library. I think they are still at 80 psi in these photos. rereading your question I don't knwo that I've ansered it...bigger tires generally mean less gas mileage and less get up and go. My truck would benefit from lower gearing. Anyway, hope this helps at least a little.
