Tire size question

ok i have a 2001 trac and i am about to buy my first set of new tires... i know what size i have now, but i was wondering anyone here knew how big i could go on just a stock 4x4 package.

i want to go with more tire height to get a little better gas milage but i dont know how much bigger i can go.

i have 275/70/16's bridgestone dueler revo's. i had to cut about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the plastic inner wheel well to fit as ther e was a very minor rub. i don't think you will see any better gas mileage with a bigger size.

ok well i think i may go with the 265 or 275, depending on what works without altering anything.

i believe larger wheels will actually reduce your mpg.

265-75-16 is the larget you can go. That is it with out a lift or torsion adj. THE tires I have are 265-75-16. That is all stock. Look.
