Tire Size with OEM Wheels

I have a 2002 Sport Trac 2x4 with stock wheels and tires (235x70x16). I was wondering if the 255x70x16 tires would fit with no modifications?

My 04 came with 255x70R16s so I don't see why the size wouldn't work on your 02's 16 inchers without any mods.

They will work. The basic model was sold with 235's on it. The "step-up" version was sold with 255's on them. (at least in '03 models)

255/70/R16 works, I just put 265/75/16's on mine =) just a little rubbing nothign too much.

I just put 265/75/R16 on my trac, only a slight rub once when in the D&D drive thru

i have 275/70/16's on my 04 adren. they are on the stock wheels. there was a very minor rub, that was solved by cutting about an 1/4 of an inch off the plastic inner wheel wells
