Ok, I have just read all the poor reviews on the Wrangler RTS tires that our on my trac. My tires look good but I only have 7000 miles on them. I do notice that they have really poor traction in the rain. I am really lite footed and these tires spin out alot even at very slow speed. Well anyway, can someone recommend a quality tire for my trac. I do mostly city driving with maybe around 5 or 6 offroad trips a year. Defentily looking for something with alot better traction in the rain. Please keep price in mind. I drive a sport trac not a porche.

Hey Hyjack, I'm from NJ and I love my Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's. Great traction especially with some of the snow storms we get!

Take a look at the yokohama Geolander HT/S-G051. Check the ratings on tire rack..they have almost a 9..I have them on my wifes escape..good tire, I will buy them for the trac soon..

Geolander A/T+ II

I personally had these tires on my old Ford truck, and I loved them. They are an all terrain tire, but I got great gas mileage for the truck with them on. I had a 94 f150 with a six in lift on it and I got about 17-20 mpg.

I happen to love my Wranglers, I just rolled 81,000 miles on my '03 and they are just starting to show some wear. I'll bet I can get another 20,000 miles out of them. I had to adjust the way I drive on wet roads, my right foot is made of lead...but it wasn't a major life change.

I've owned a lot of different tires in my day, and these Wranglers are, by far, the longest lasting I have ever had. I am going to replace them this summer with a brand new set of Wranglers.

I am proably no help to you, but I just wanted to state not everyone hates them.
