V8 engine What year is your Sport Trac? 2010 What Generation is your Sport Trac? 2n Gen Owner Dec 15, 2008 #2 Lift up the cover... On each side is the lock..... Look in the side and you will see a metal silver cable end in a latch,,, Push that in the position where it makes the cable longer and re try.... Do both sides before closing... That will take the cable out of the open position and it should close.. Todd Z
