My Grandson left his Volkswagen Passat in North Carolina after something happened to the engine while coming home from Florida. The car is about four hours from me and all the roads are interstate. Will my 2005 ST four wheel drive handle it OK on a dolly?

Thanks, Paul

What does Four Wheel drive have to do with it?

Are you planning towing it in 4x4 mode or are you just mentioning 4x4 because that is what you have?

The Sport Trac is designed to tow 5000 LBS (4x4) or 5300 LBS (4x2). You will have no problems.

I towed my 1991 Escort GT from Lexington, KY to Akron, OH with my wife's 2000 Explorer with 150,000 miles on it. She towed like a dream.

Unless the roads are bad, keep it in 4x2 mode. You will break something in 4x4 mode. (I hope you already know this)

Thanks for the responces. I do know that I shouldn't drive around in 4 wheel drive. I guess I was thinking the suspension might be a little stiffer with 4 wheel drive. Tom, next time you are in Lexington checkout "Sportsmen's Warehouse" just off Winchester Road. I go to Lexington to see my infant GGrandson and have to stop there to drool over the stuff and usually buy something I don't need.
