towing setup

I just installed a break controller and trailer hitch and wired up my Sport Trac for my new popup. The standard mounting bracket for the 7-pin connector does not come close to fitting on the truck, so I temporarily used a heavy duty zip tie. Anybody have a source for a bracket that will fit? Have to do any drilling?

I modified my bracket to use one of the main large bumper bolts. That way I didn't have to drill into anything or do any modifications to my truck, only the mounting bracket.

I mounted my bracket (actually a 4 flat to 7 round adapter) using a stainless steel hoseclamp to the hitch itself.

Rich, you can buy the 7pin mounting bracket at your local BepBoys store. Then you would only drill two holes to mount the bracket.

mine got bolted to bumper bolts on frame..

My '07 Sport Trac came with everything already there. Oh yah, it had the factory trailer package.
