Nope didn't misspell Trac.. I took my motorcycle to Willow Springs for a trackday.

My favorite of the pics, there are more though if anyone is interested.

Also I took some video, this is just a small one, but either way it gives an idea of running around the track on a motorcycle.

Nice! I don't have the...to do that...LOL

Here is a local boy from Tacoma, WA. One of my good friends has known him since he was 13. If I ever have a grand opening one of his bikes will be on display. (I can dream...LOL)

Lil Red: I'm kind of disappointed I didn't get to goto MotoGP, but at least I got to play pretend.

Ironbar: you don't need a trackbike to enjoy the track, that bike is my daily rider. And nope I haven't read it, it's on my list of to read's, but I'm not much of a book person.

Seattle: I saw him race at VIR 2 years ago and got an autograph on one of his posters. I'm pretty sure he was on a Kawi then though (If I'm remembering the right guy)

JD, I know I can take my bike out but I have to tape lights/change fluids. I plan on doing a novice track day soon.

If you read the book, it will shave time off your laps. I noticed from watching your video compared to what I've read (ok, not a real comparison) that your throttle is flat in the corners. A 2k throttle increase will set the suspension and allow better response out of a corner.

You have more experience by far then I do, but I promise if you read that book you will be impressed.

edit: changed wording

Ironbar: That was the first lap out of the session, so it's a little lower paced since the tires weren't warmed up. When I get done editing the other one that the pace is a bit faster. Another thing to keep in mind is I ride a v-twin not a I4 so I don't have to keep my revs as high to be in the powerband.

Its not how much or how little throttle that settles the suspension it's the fact that you are on the throttle at all. Brakes drop the front end, roll back on the throttle and it pushes the weight back to the rear, regardless of how much throttle it is...
