How much do you think my 2007 ST would be worth on a trade in?

I filled out the form on the Ford site for an appraisal and came back with this:

Ford is having that "Swap your Ride Sales event" and offering some nice rates and money back.



Since they replaced my tranny under warranty I am not happy with the truck. The Ford certified rebuilt tranny sucks, shifts like crap and I have a loss of power. I brought it back and all that with them telling me everything was fine.



I really like the ST and at this point in my life it suits my needs. I was hoping to keep this one until it was beat to **** and hoping for well over 100,000 miles.



Also, the 2nd thing is does anyone here have a X-Plan for me? That would save me alot.

check Kelley Blue Book and NADA, also. I did my '07 Limited with 78000 miles and came up with a range from $17,000.+- to just over $22,000+- depending on the condition. As what dealer thinks and what we think of our trade-ins, is two different things, sometimes. But still, I think it's a pretty good trade-in value for the age of the vehicle.

First of all NO DEALER will give you ANY thing close to what your truck is worth....



The local dealers here offered only 5-6K for my 04 adren..... The local Car buy it dealer offered 9,500...... I found a private dealer that bought it for 10,500.........



Truck in KBB and NADA and NY DMV all said the truck was work 12 to 15K.... LOL....



Yes the used car market is BOOMING !!! but people are not able to get loans for high $$ cars and don't want to spend the $$..... OR nearly what the vehicle is worth...

my fully loaded 07 lmtd trac V-8 4X4 with similar mileage sold at auction for 17.5 from what i remember.

it was my company vehicle that was on lease. at lease experation i send them to auction (southern auction in conn).

in jan 09, at auction my 07 sold to a ford dealer in rhode island.

it sold in 3 days but they would not disclose the selling price. probably about 19K.

Todd they are crazy to offer that little. But mine is a limited and is 3 years newer.



I looked on Auto trader and dealers are trying to get between $24k to $27K. The 2 that I found that were very close to mine were going for $25k or $26k. They want to give me $5k then put it on their lot for $25k? That's insane.



When I was at a dealer a few months ago on LI he told me that they are looking for ST's. People come in asking for them and they didn't have any. He was trying to get mine, but at that time I wasn't thinking about trading it in.



I got $10k for my 2001 ST with 73k miles in July 2006 when I traded it in on the '07. I would think that I could at least get that much.



Who knows. I wont know anything until I ask my dealership. Then they would have the problem of locating one that I want.

In my past several trades, I've always got at KBB (good) Trade-In value -- even though my vehicles were always in "Excellent" condition. I was happy to get that. Most will low-ball you.

Went to my local Ford dealer, the one I bought my '07 ST from. I asked them about what they would give me as a trade in on it. Would you believe this? He put it in the computer with all my options and mileage and came up with $18k. Since I bought it from them and they liked the condition and ST's are nowhere to be found especially used they will go to $19k.



Sounds good to me.

2 months ago I got $19.5k for my 08, v6,xlt 4x2 with 24k miles on it. Some of you may say that they just rolled the price into the new Edge I bought but I was able to get almost $7k off of the sticker price of the Edge, it wasn't a demo or anything like that as it only had 3 miles on it.

That is pretty good. Mine is a year older limited v8 with 23k more miles so I think $19k is good too.
