Transfer Case fluid?

I'm changing the xfer case fluid this weekend, and after doing a pan and fliter change on my tranny, I have about 2 quarts of Mercon V left over.. Can this be used as a substitute with no flushing, or should I just go and buy some cheap Mercon?

Regular ATF only !!! OR full synthetic ATF... Not the Mercon V...
