Just a quick FYI -

I noticed that my 02 ST w/62kmi was doing the 2-3 flair thing. (not very badly)

EPC had been adjusted at around 45k.

Wasn't sure what to do, so I was doing alot of reading on the net. Based on my reading I decided to try LucasOil's Transmission Fix. ($9.99 from Autozone)

I put it in (actually exchanged out about a quart) with the Lucasoil stuff.

*** I am knocking on wood as I write this *** BUT it does appear to have done what they claim. The flair is either gone or diminished enough that I havn't been able to observe it.

So ... for what it's worth, if you notice this problem starting, you may be able to give this product a try.

I'm also planning on installing a TransGo shift kit for the 5r55e. Anyone had any luck with shift kits on ST's?????

Good luck!

Justin

The shift kit is NOT worth it if your not doing the rebuild, and if you have an Xcal you may need to LOWER the pressure.....

I have that kit on mine and it did nothing, the Xcal was more of a change..

Transmission, that kit comes with Forward clutch springs that you can not install unless your rebuilding the whole thing..

NOW yes you can leave them out like I did, and honestly the tranny is almost the same...
