transmission problems

My 2001 sport trac has turned into a money pit. Three times in the transmission shop. Every time because it will not shift into overdrive and the overdrive button blinks constantly. It is now in the shop or the fourth time in two years. This is a reliable xmission shop. They have guaranteed their work and not charged me anything when problem reoccurs with one year. This time it ran okay for a year and a half. This is a 2WD truck and I don't abuse it. Any ideas of what may be the problem?

the 2001 transmission had bad valve body gaskets and issues with the EPC and shift solenoids..



Ford upgraded the valve body gaskets and i would recommend installing that and new shift and EPC solenoids..
