Message: <blockquote data-quote="Steven Hartford" data-source="post: 545770" data-attributes="member: 62463"><p>Beware.  If you have the ESP and have multiple items to be repaired, make sure all of them get documented  properly or you'll end up paying the deductible for each.  I took my 2001 in for a whine in the differential and a tranny that slipped in reverse.  The differential was torn down and new seals and bearings put in.  The transmission, the dealer claimed, was down two quarts (It had been serviced by the selling dealer 5000 mi before and there were no leaks, so I'm a little skeptical), and they topped it off, claiming this to be the slipping solution.  I paid my $100 deductible and drove off.  100 miles later, the tranny is whining in Drive, and slipping in reverse at 6000 rpms (I couldn't back up the driveway).  I bring it back and , 13 days later, I have a new remanufactured tranny with 3yr/36,000 warranty.  I don't want to pay the $100 because it was in for reverse slippage again, but the service manager says he can't get away with it because it was documented as down 2 qts the first time, not a warranty claim.  Anybody got any insights on this?  Not that it's such a bad thing to have a new tranny and rear end for $200, but.....</p></blockquote><p></p>
