I just picked up some used bfg rugged trails, about 50% tread. They r 265/75/16's. Should I do a shackle and tt lift before I install them, or will the rubbing be bearable without it. Also, what is the best way to tt lift? I've seen some torsion keys or something of the sort online where u don't actually crank the torsion bolts. Any thoughts or experience with this would be awesome!

You'll need to do the TT and SL before.

As for the TT and SL there are a couple really detailed build threads projects in the projects section under ride and handling. I used Nate's thread to do mine years ago.

Personally, I would do the TT/SL after getting the tires on there. You probably won't actually need the shackles in the rear. The rear wheel wells are huge. If it were me, I'd get the tires mounted, see where I have rubbing and adjust accordingly. I see you're 4x4, so be sure not to go over 2" on the TT. If you just do that, you'll probably end up with a pretty level looking ST.

You may find that you'll want spacers on there after you mount the tires and get some lift. That will affect where you have rubbing.

There is tons of information about torsion twists. I recommend you read as much about it as you have time for before doing this.

Ok, thanks guys. I have had spacers in mind, I've read that 1.25 in the front and 1.5 in the rear is ideal. What are the best spacers to get at the best price?
