Universal side step for a trac?

Looking for a real simple step bar for my 02 trac



I just want a single step (pair) not a whole running board. I've found a couple that say "universal" like this one

but sometimes universal doesn't always mean universal,

but it says it will fit up to an 01 explorer so I don't know if it will fit my trac



anyways, If anyone has used either of these or has any input or knows of a good side step I would appreciate it

I agree with Todd Z. I don't think you can rely on a Universal step bar that fits a standard Explorer to fit a Sport Trac.



The early model Sport Trac's have a longer wheel base than the standard Explorer so the bolt holes on the Explorer step kit may not align with the step bar mounting holes on the Sport Trac. You would be wise to search for step bars specifically made to fit a Sport Trac, or have adjustable mounting brackets that allow it to fit a Sport Trac. You may want to contact the company selling these Universal kits and see if they are adjustable or they can confirm that they will fit a Sport Trac and willing to refund your money if they don't fit? Be sure to get it in writing or to speek to a manager and get his name.
