Stopped at a grocery store after work tonight and come out and tried to unlock my door using the key pad on the driver side door and nothing. tried several times and then the lighted pads started blinking now the combination won't unlock the doors. The house is a wreck right now and I can't find where I put the ST owner's manual. Anyone have an idea how to recover the combination?

Thanks, Ray

It does not forget the factory unlock code, afik. Try it again. After several failed attempts it "locks out" further attempts for several minutes.

You can read the online owners manual here

Could it be one of those add-on key pads?? Never used one but wouldn't it have a battery? If it's a factory key pad it should be hard wired like dreman said.

It is the original keypad. I was wrong tho, it does light up, evidentally I just couldn't see that it was.

However, the combination that I have used for many moons now isn't working. I must have changed it unknowingly the other night. I did have gloves on due to the cold. Anyone have an idea how to reset it back to the default combination?

The default code always works. You can't reset it, you can't change it, you can't delete it. You CAN add your own personal code. If you have been using the factory code and it no longer works then you have a fault to diagnose and repair.

You have mail.

Not the ECU/PCU, the central security module. It's behind the passenger air bag.

Five digit number, blurred here.

Thanks for the correction, Steve. I was just repeating what my '07 manual says, and forgot to check to see if our years were even close. Sorry 'bout that!

Ok. Call me stupid but I'm not sure how to get the Pass side air bag out. I can't tell by the pic how it is held in there. I would assume that it is held by screws but it looks like it should just pop in and out like a trim fastener does. Help me out again fellas.

Ha ha, I replied to your email and sent you a link to this site. Guess I had a senior moment and thought I remembered you were on the other site.

P.S. You don't have to call me stupid.
