UPDATE WeatherTech DigitalFit Floor Liner (Gen 1 Fitment)

1/25/11 THESE LINERS DO NOT FIT. VERY LARGE GAPS, NO ANCHORS. NOT SAFE!

Probably due to the ST having rubber/vinyl flooring and no carpet.

Back to square one looking at the custom molded Husky and Nifty liners.

Have an R/A from Amazon, they are going back today. We tried. :cry:











Reviving previous posts regarding availability of their custom fitted floor liners.



The WeatherTech installation instructions from their web site reads:

FloorLiners were designed for vehicles with factory carpet installed when manufactured. They will not fit vehicles with vinyl floors unless otherwise specified. Please take your old floor mats out before installing your new WeatherTech floor mats.

A liability issue for vehicles with rubber or vinyl flooring due to slipping and loss of control? Likely, IMO.



I believe because of their molded contour, the chance of slippage would be minimal, if any.

Took a chance and ordered the model #440061 Extreme Duty Liners (DigitalFit) for my '05.

Amazon and other vendors list them as compatible with 2002-03 (Postal) Sport Tracs, but not '04-05. Huh?

They do have a great return policy including shipping from Hawaii. I'll let you know, wish me luck.

Gen1 Tracs do have the hooks in the front floorboards for the mats. (unless you make the mistake I did when I put the now-obsolete carpet kit in mine and took out the rubber mat!)
