I have a ventshade on my right rear window that interferes with the window going up. Since I did'nt put these on, I do not know how they attach. Is a clip missing ? Or is something broken. I tried a search but struck out. I thank you for any input you may have.

They are held on with 2 sided 3M tape... I had the same issue, the tape dries out.. Open the window, look where the tape is, you can put a little silicone in there, and then close the window to hold it ... IT should be fine over night...

OR you have to remove the visor, clean and re tape back on..

I found that if it's Auto Vent Shade brand or GTS brand, it does have the 3M tape. But the Weather Tech brand does not.

I had the same issue with my driver's side rear window. I just removed the visor, removed the old tape, cleaned both the visor and window area w/alcohol and put on new tape and re-installed the visor. I found the exact same tape at Advance Auto. I haven't had any problems since. Here's the tape you need to look for at your auto parts store:

That's a common problem with the rear window and the ventshade in-channel visors. Many here, including myself, took a dremmel tool and beveled/feathered the edge. There is a corner angle to the shade right where it fits into the window channel and that hits against the window as it goes up (its on the rear of the visor, not the front edge). Smoothing that corner makes all the difference so that the window slides along a taper rather than encountering a blunt end. I had to do it to both my back visors when I put them in new. It had nothing to do with the tape or its adhesion, IMHO, but is more of a defect in the design that you can overcome by feathering that visor edge that corner of the window hits.

Weather Techs does not have tapes for the front windows but the rear windows does have the double sided tapes only at the top. So far mine hasn't hung up but if it does, I'll do Todd Z's approach.

Mine would stop the window for a while after I first put them on. I'd just push it out with my finger and inch the window up. Left the windows all the way up for a couple weeks and now they work fine.

That could be the issue JohnnyO, me and others weren't patient enough. I suppose if you let the tape set with the windows up for 24 hours like it said the shades will have time to dent the felt they are attached to, effectively pushing the shade in where it would normally rub.

I wasn't going to take any chances. Others here said "dremmel it", so I "dremmeled it!"

Then, I waited the 24 hours and have had nothing but good ups and downs since.

I had to dremmel mine too. It was cracked on the edge that the window was hitting. Works great now.
