Does anyone have this cell phone for Verizon Wireless. Opinions please. Verizon is also releasing the Motorola Razr the first week of December. Opinions on this as well if you have experienced the Razr.

I have the original Razr and it's great! I've always had Motorola phones and they have been good. The LG phones are horrible in our area. I have cell tower a block away and LG phones always drop service. The tower services all the major carriers.

Thanks,

SST

My brother has the black razr, and my friend has that phone above for verizon...razr is nice, and sleak, and sporty lookin, lots features, good service, the verizo has good features too, and the mp3 player-which my friend upgraded to a 1 gb stick of memory for songs-very cool! aslso has camcorder...i like the Razr a little bettter, because i use it more, but there both very ncie..

good luck

Andy

I have had both the original razr and the black one. all i have to say is the razr for me never drops service and has never failed what so ever. i've dropped it aabout a millions times and it still works great. best phone i've had since the nokia 282! LOL wow that phone was by far the best.

I prefer the LG phones. They have never let me down. I currently have the VX6100. I am not one for bells and whistles as this one has a lot of options, I just wanted a tri-mode phone and this was my only option.

If only I could find a cool cell phone without a camera and not a Nokia, I would be set.

LOL-Tom-I almost never use my camera- I wish we could get phone without them. A build-it -yourself would be nice. I don't need the internet, the camera, I almost never use my IM, It's a PHONE! all it should do is ring...maybe I should never have thrown out my old "bag" phone-only reason I got another one ws because the clip for my old one broke.

going along with motorola, they are durable. i have the i730 with nextel service. i dropped my phone on a contruction site, fell one floor down and on the way down hit the ladder. and it still works like new. had it for 2 years.

about to switch to verizon. cause my bill is $70. thats the only reason, the price. hopefully the razer will come out with a good deal

I have a plain phone that just rings. No camera, no polyphonic ring tones, no internet, no organizer, nada. I also don't pay monthly bills. It's a Tracfone. I only use my phones for emergencies... I buy a 12 month card for $89 each year, and that gives me 250 minutes of use which is more than I need.

I just got that phone from Verizion. My old LG phone finally died, I lost the display, I guess I dropped it one too many times. I am getting used to this new phone It is a A-950 phone, from what I read on the manual, it is pretty high speed low drag as we used to say in the military.

Have agood one

My wife and I both got the new phone from Verizon.

It goes back today.

The phone does not pick up the signal well. I compared it to my previous phone and it is half strength.

Also it is a little hard to hear. The incoming voice is not clear and as loud as my previoous model.

Darin - I wish it was that simple. I have my daughter on my plan so that she can get a hold me as soon as she is out of school and for emergencies. My phone 90% of the minutes used are for business therefore I don't mind paying 80.00 a month for the service when the phone creates business for me.

Thanks,

SST

All I ned is a phone, no bells and whistles...Iam still using a 5yr old, Nokia 6155...works excellent...people laugh at the size of it...but Iam talking on it when they cant get a signal...just bought new batteries for it, $10 at best buy...

the Razr, imo, is not too durable. I had one and I carry my phone on my hip at work......it just feels flimsy and if you drop it, good luck. I went back to my old v400.

I don't really care for the engineering effort for Motorola, but Verizon has excellent service just about everywhere there's people to serve, and the LG's are top of the line.

star36, the one my wife and I got was the one pictured at the top of the page.

It only reeived half the signal strength as the original one we had, and we had them sitting next to each other.

I am going to wait for the Razr model.
