Morning all.

I have had this Power Point Presentation for some time now. Even though I have been in the military for 23 years even I need tobe reminded every now and then of the price of freedom. Whether the freedom is for us here in the United States or another coutry where the general public has no say and suffers physically and mentally at the hads of the Officials of that country.

I have been in the Kuwait area 5 times for various reasons. The people there that want our help befried you to the point where you are there extended family. It those people that we do what we do. Freedom is very expensive. Both in the form of money and the cost of lives of our fellow comrads.

So if you have three minutes please watch the power point. It serves as a great reminder of why we have the freedom we have.

I have a hard time saying Happy Veterans Days. Kind of like an Oxy Moron to me. Yes we need to reckognize Veterans Day. And we do need to be happy to have our freedom. Seeing what I have seen and knowing the cost others have paid I just personally can not put the word Happy in front of Veterans Day.

You do not need or have to believe in the wars that are going on in Kuwait and Afganistan. But PLEASE support our people that are there.

Thanks......

Well, I am not able to get it to open thru this site. You are able to save it and watch it but that seems to be the only way. It is not a corrupt file. I have double checked it with my virus software.

However, my thoughts are the same even if the Power Point can not go along with it.

Sorry about the link.....

Doug,

Did as you suggested. Unfortunately, no change. In fact, it still added the .ppt to the end of the file name. Only here at the site though, not on my computer.

Oh well...... I tried.......

Kevin,

This may call for an email to Rich. If the code to upload the files is adding an extension to the file automatically this may be a bug. In any case I know he can go into the database and remove the ppt from the pps. Maybe that will fix it.

Also, what version of MS Office are you using? If it is 2003, you may need to save it in an older format. I know I only have Office XP (2002).

I do not necessarily believe in the war in Iraq however I do believe in the people that are over there risking thier lives. To them and to all others that have fought to preserve our nation and our freedoms I say "THANK YOU"

I appreciate the your efforts to support the fine young men and women of this countries armed forces.

God bless America. Thanks to everyone who has ever served for the good ole U.S. of A. 8 years in specops and 10 more to go. AIRBORNE!

Coastie....I was asigned to a very special joint services unit, MACV SOG. They were involved in alot of the war effort, including black ops. I got a chance to move around and see alot of the country. I was young and enjoying my service, so I signed up for the second 12month tour and stayed on. There was alot of comaraderie amongst all the different branches of the service. We learned to appreciate what each man could do...

reatfully thanks everyone who has ever served in our armed forces. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep America safe. Again...God bless.

still can't save it or watch it.
