Has a VERY 'Euro Truck' look. Like the Mitsu 4 door truck that is so common in the middle east, and even that Euro Ranger.

Probably a good thing they wont offer it here. Likely wouldnt sell very well in the states. VW buyers in the US dont seem to be the type of customer.

The parts the caught my attention were the true body on frame, if they didn't screw it up like they did second gen ST's by running the axels through the frame. 2.0L turbo disel with 5600lbs towing, that should be good for decent mpg's when not towing and more towing power than a first gen ST (can't remember second gen v8 towing numbers)

Looks like they took the frontend cues from the Colorado, the cab to bed design from the first gen, and the half ass rip from the sport bar from the first gen, doesn't look bad but not sure if I'd own one.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I got wood looking at the pic and reading about it!

I think it would sell like hotcakes here if it were priced well ($18k).

I want mine old-school.

No way will that happen, this is supposed to be in the 1 ton category, would ford sell an f150 at 18k? Even without all the chrome and bling crap, a stripped down 4 door f150 is 29k

I'd like it. Would certainly include it in the consideration for my next truck... IF I consider a next truck I mean:D

I think with Ford not building any more Sport Tracs that thing would sell good. Europe gets all the cool vehicles.

I find it hard to believe it would fit in the 1 ton class, it says it has a 122 hp motor and it looks midsize like an ST to me.

163 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

122 hp and 250 torques will be an option

It's the torque numbers, sure they are lower than the f-150 but it's also 2L vs 5.4L and is able to tow more than the V6 ST's.

Yeah, but how fast will they tow it? My Dad's farm tractor can tow 10x what my ST can tow, but it won't do it nearly as fast.

I have mixed feelings about the grille, but it's the best looking VW thing I've seen.

BTW, what does the rollbar do? It's not taller than the cab

Semi's only have 400-600 hp and haul 80,000 lbs.. desiel torque = good towing power at highway speeds without issue i'm sure.

It more than likely doesn't have a high top speed, but who cares it's a truck?
