Must be the China water.

This would be funny if it was not so damn scary for people who bought WalMart anti-freeze.

True. Hope those freeze plugs pop. :boohoo:

Gavin,

I doubt that it was WalMart fault. They probably get their brand of Anti-Freeze from one of the national brand companies like Peak or Prestone. I suspect that since it was a 50/50 mix, someone at the factory screwed and did not mix the 50/50 ratio right, putting too much water in the mix.

Rich, you are probably right. However, Wal-Mart is brutal with its suppliers for price concessions. I have experience working for one. Don't think we bothered shipping our first-quality stuff to Wal-Mart. That stuff was reserved for our name brand.

That is saying it nicely. I wonder how many of, all of their products, are cut rate qaulity. Compared to the national brand sold else where.

None of their national name, brand tires are found else where.

My Mom just bought a sanyo TV. The model#, is not listed on sanyo's web site. The box it came in said, LED. It is an LCD. The instructions have the model# on them. The instructions dont exactly match the TV.....

I have bought 2 of the same hamilton beach coffee grinders from wally. The 2cnd one burned out this week. Just out of warranty, same as the first one. My sister bought the same one elsewhere 5yrs ago. Still works. Had to be the qaulity built for wally.

I need a sujestion for a good replacement. Not going back to wally.

Anyone else have simular storys of what wally sells.

Gavin,

Yes, most suppliers do not provide the same top-of-the-line quality control for discount retailers like WalMart, but that is really not WalMart's problem...They ask for bids from companies that can fill WalMarts needs at the lowest price....and I'm sure WalMart does not expect to receive pre-mixed 50/50 anti-freeze that freezes at temperatures above 0 (F) degrees.

If a WalMart customer had engine damage, I'm sure WalMart would win any lawsuit against the company that actually made and sold the anti-freeze to WalMart....assuming it was not made and bottle in China...
