wanted-console and floor mat

looking for a console to fit an '02 st. dark grey in color. also looking for the one piece rear floor mat, grey in color.

Short console or the full length?

right now it has the short one with the bag. so either one i guess depending on the price. if i upgrade to the long one is there a lotfi any modifying to be done?

or can anyone tell me if there is a way to fix the plastic hinge on the part that raises up. haven't had a chance to look at it yet to see how bad my wife broke it.

Much easier to replace the arm rest or the whole short console with another non-bag console. (I hated the bag!)



I had already replaced the arm rest with one from an older Explorer before I swapped out the console. The older arm rests are MUCH stronger!

steve-can you tell me if a full length console from an '04 explorer will fit my wife's '02 st. i found one out of a wrecked explorer, but it's hard to tell by the pic if it's the same or not. just trying to be sure before i pay to have it shipped. thanks.

I have not done any research on the 2000-up Gen 3 Explorer consoles. I do know the 95-99 Gen 2 Explorer consoles will not work. The obstacle is where Ford mounted the RCM (crash module) in the Sport/Sport Trac, on top of the transmission hump. As far as I can verify, the only full length consoles that will work in a 01-05 Sport Trac are ones from other 01-05 Sports or Sport Tracs. I bought a full length Gen 2 Explorer console only to find out what I stated above, too late. Short consoles are another matter since the RCM is not a factor. Short consoles as far back as the 84 Bronco II will bolt right in. But saying that, I have not researched the 3rd Gen Explorer short consoles. I'd suspect they also would fit.
