I know, amazing huh? We got about 16 inches here in Central MA. And today it looks just like that. Not much left. :smile0001:

I'm envious. We got about a foot and a half of snow, followed by a light mist of rain, so that when the temp dropped again, the snowbanks, roads, roofs, and everything else had a solid two-inch-thick coat of ice. And with the way temps usually go around here this time of year, we'll likely first melt through that ice in late-April.



This may sound somewhat sarcastic, but I mean this question quite seriously: If the 2-foot "blizzard" the east coast got last week is already melted/melting, which seems to be what happens every time the east coast gets snow, then why did everyone out there (or at least the media out there) consider it to be such a big deal? It sounds like it turned out to be a minor inconvenience for part of a week, but the newscasts made it sound like you were going through nuclear winter...



I know a lot of people in the midwest who would say that the east coast blizzard never happened, as any snow which melts prior to St. Patrick's Day really doesn't count...

Bill V, its the same in S. Florida where every time a storm kicks up in the Atlantic the media goes into hurricane panic mode.

yes media. the next day most roads were cleared. in most cases it sticks around for a few months, but we lucked out with the rain and warm temps.
