I've been doing a lot of yard work, since it has been a beautiful weekend. Yesterday I planted more flowers and fertilized the yard. Today after church and brunch, I finished this project which I started last weekend. Afterwards, my daughter and I shot hoops for about 45 minutes. It is way too hot here (90 degrees) to stay out much longer than that. We may both lose some weight this summer. :D

Hey Nelson, is it real dry where you are? I recall hearing something about record drought conditions in OK and SW MO/KS/AR.

Not much going on here. Gonna mow the lawn in a bit and maybe clean out the trac. Just got up from a nap after eating Easter dinner at mom and dads....

Gavin, it is very dry here. The fire danger is extreme today, and it is supposed to be worse the next two days. I am not sure about having record drought, since we haven't seen a return of the Oklahoma Dust Bowl of the 1930s, but we did have a very dusty day about 10 days ago. The sun was nearly hidden from all the dust.

Of course, my black ST showed every spec of dust which fell upon it.

hey i went bowling with todd z and chris p and there wives, that was friday night. saturdy i put up a dog kennel and installed about 3/4 of my new deck railing on the deck i built last weekend. but here is the best bet i ever took. my wife bet me that i couldnt install all the spindles on the deck railing i put in. now mind you she made me this bet at 5:30 last night. if i did she would let me not work on the deck and put on all the accesories on the sport trac. well 146 spindles in 2 hours DONE! and all day sunday i worked on the trac. shell never make me that bet again.:cool:

I built a coil-over suspension for my Escort. I have already install 3 of them, one more tomorrow. I also have three new rotors, calipers, and pads installed. I also installed a front upper strut bar, stainless steel braided brake lines, and new e brake cables. I still have a front and rear lower tie bar to install, rear upper strut bar and the right rear wheel needs completed.

What an enjoyable weekend.

Saturday and Sunday very busy with church and Easter activities.

Saturday:

- Rose early and helped put up signs directing travels to the "Disability Ministries" Easter egg hunt that my wife coordinated. Over 40 families with disabled children of all ages attended, and they played games, watched a ventriliquist show, won prizes and hunted for Easter eggs.

- Then that afternoon we helped with another Easter egg hunt, this one in a subsidized housing community in which close to 60 families and their children attended. Between the two events over 4000 eggs were hid.

- That night, my wife and I were part of a "Road Rally/Scavenger Hunt" along with the teens we mentor at our church, It was great fun. The ST was quite the versatile vehicle for this rally.

Sunday:

- We were the "greeters" at our small church (about 100 families), and that's a fun position that rotates among the families. What an honor to great everyone on Easter morning as they went into church.

- Sunday school, followed by Easter service with communion.

- Easter dinner at a friends house with a very rowdy game of dominoes, followed by dessert.

- Yard work including mowing the lawn and trim.

- Teaching my younger son to throw a long spiral with the new football he got for Easter (he got the hang of it).

- Blowing bubbles with the daughter

- Baths for the kids.

Whew, I'm tired...almost time to watch the Sopranos.

I installed a complete system in my buddies lightning. New Head unit, Sirius, 5 channel amplifier, for new door speaker and sub. Took 4 hours to run all the wires tucked away and make all the connections. Felt that was pretty good time for everything. Saw Scary Movie 4 also was really funny.

This weekend?

Same as last...and last before last..etc...still working on my new kitchen project now for 2 months.

But specifically, I put my sandblaster to a different use....on glass!!

And I went through 40 pounds of play sand.

I bought a new bifold french door for the pantry, outlined each pane in 1/4" auto pinstripe, bought two "grapes" templates, and shot it.

And fwiw, chrome pinstripe stayed intact on the glass whereas mylar gray pinstripe tried to peel off the glass through the blast process.

I got lots done this weekend... Cleaned and changed the oil on my wifes 01 cougar. (oh yea some how the air silencer fell out also :D) Also got the lawn mowed and cleand up and I changed the belt on my 92 T-bird. Feels like I did somthing this weekend.

Hey, Y'all,

Ate Supper on the ground, watched the grandbabies hunt Easter Eggs, took

some pictures for the family, as I seem to have been designated the family photographer,

came home and watched momma and granny give the babies a bath, as for some

odd reason they seemed to be covered in chocolate, sprinkles, glitter, and all other

manner of sugar-covered-treats, and I sit here with y'all talkin!....

Good day so far!

Oh, and by the way, we said a Prayer to Jesus, and our Lord Almighty, for giving us

the things that we enjoy, everyday in our own personal household and life!

I got done mowing the yard this evening, so I drove the John Deere down to the car wash and gave it a good bath. Got it back and waxed and detailed it! My Garden Tractor is the cleanest one in town! (even armor-all'ed the tires inside and out!).

Lots of yard work. Mowing lawn, trimming hedges, hauling mulch, replacing some rotted out railroad ties (not easy). But the highlight was a few hours ago when my wife agreed with me that we needed to get rid of about eight 5 foot bushes/trees. I borrowed my neighbors tow ropes and tied it around the bushes and used the tow hooks. It was an old tow rope and I ended up shredding the stitching on one of the hooks. I tied it in a knot and tightened that tow rope right back up. It took me about an hour to what would have taken almost an entire day if I didn't have the ST.

I have officially overcome my obsession of keeping my ST in pristine condition. I had a few knicks/scratches and my step brother added another good one when they tried to fit the wheel barrow under the back gate. What can I expect from a truck that will be paid off completely in a few months.

I also made time to hang out with my kids, do the easter thing (including dinner) and watching the Flyers beat up on the Rangers and then getting spanked by the Devils.

Worked on the computer most of the weekend designing a 100+ page web site. Paint Protection Film that I will be selling. Hope to have the site up, tested and running by the end of the month.

I drank, played pool, drank some more, threw some darts, slept. Not much to do around here during Easter. With the primary religion being Catholic down here, EVERYTHING closed for the whole week for Easter. Even we had a 4 day weekend. (Too bad I don't have my ST to work on...)

BUT- I did work on my airplanes for Flight Simulator 2002. I made some "flights" from McConnell AFB to Scott AFB and back in a KC-135, practiced some high wind and stormy approaches, and I also "repainted" my C-123K in two new paintschemes. I need to submit them to the author of the original airplane file so I can release them for downloading on the internet.

What did I make them look like you ask?

The first was an Air America silver paintscheme

and the other one was the Jailbird from Con Air.

Since last weekend was my 'vacation' down in Long Beach, I'm back working EVERY day, including weekends... I've got 2 rental properties that I need to get tenants for, with 2 more coming open next month, several major projects going at my house, income tax to finish, projects to attend to before I get my knee replacement surgery done in June.

At least with this weekend being a religious holiday and all, Home Depot was empty earlier today when I went for 1/2" drywall. WAY COOL! Then I went to work at Arco for the Kings game. Now I get to sheetrock & mud up the hole I had to make in my bathroom wall Friday before knocking over the pedestal sink and breaking the pedestal...

Installed my new Polk MMC5250 component speakers to finish my stereo project in my ST. They sound very nice :) BTW, nice work on that door chops.

10 yards of mulch, going to do 5 more today. Had ALL of the family over for Easter so it was very busy all in all.

On vacation this week. Just hanging out at home as Continental screwed up our plane tickets.

So were going to do various one and two day trips and get caught up on home stuff....
