I've got an 08 V8 STA as well. Ford calls for 5W-20 oil in it; AMSOIL makes three product lines of synthetic oil, and all have 5W-20 products. They are differentiated by drain interval: OE (Ford drain rec.), XL (6 mos/10K miles), Signature Series (1 year/25K miles). In filters, the EAO11 for this engine (V6s too) is the best available and is good for 1 year/25K miles. You can see all of this in my article on oil/filters in the Projects section.
