hey again..figure id make 2 sep. posts instead of adding it to my post infront of this...i jsut did the TT/shackle lift and 3" body lift...i need some opinions on what everyone likes for Tire/wheel sizes to go with teh lift....pics would be nice too! thanks....ohh yea and i dont want to loose much power and mileage..thanks!

Mike, increasing the diameter of your tires will reduce the overall final gear ratio of the Trac and thus its performance. Keep this in mind when selecting a tire size.

I got larger tires but had the FORD dealership install them and also re-calibrate the speedometer and computer for me under warranty so it would not be voided. Thus far even though i've lost about 3mpg in city driving i've GAINED preformance offroad and also highway driving. Check my profile for pics and tire size.

thanks guys...mike, i know that about the tires but i just dont want to loose "much" power and everything else..i know im going to have to sacrafice something but somethings got to give!

Go with a 33" tire like a 33x12.50-15 on a 15x8 or 15x10 rim or a 305/70-16 on a 16x8 or 16x10. Look for between 3.75" to 4.5" backspace on the rims, less is better so the tires don't rub on the inside. Your front wheel bearings will be happier with 8" rims but 10's are okay if you service and repack the front wheel bearings once a year.

If you have 4.10 axles you can live with 33" tires but if you swap to 4.56 gears that will put your rpm vs. road speed and performance back to about what it was stock.

I have 32" tires with 3.73 gears and it's okay although I wouldn't try to tow 5000 lb. with it either.

I went with 285/75R16's, you can see pics in my library, but they don't do justice. The tires are superswamper trxus mud terrains. Made of soft rubber and known to wear faster, but grip like racing tires. I really love the look. The measure at about 32.5" bigger tires = bigger gas bill. The other option is to go with all terrains. Check out 4wheelparts.com. Goodluck!
