wheels sizing

I thought the 2001 (drum rear brakes) had a different offset.

I havent heard that. I think all gen1 wheels have the same +12mm offset.

My reasoning is all the gen1 oem wheel sales. I have seen on this board since 2004.

I know I picked up a set of steel wheels from a 2003 ST to use for winter tires. The wheels had the wrong offset from my early 2001. The wheels fit but rubbed and looked dumb.



I bought them from a salvage yard so maybe they gave me the wrong ones. I exchanged them for a set of aluminum wheels from a wrecked 2001 (took them off myself) and they work great.

Mike, mythought is they gave you some steel wheels from another car.

Ford used the 5 on 4.5 bolt patern on many cars.

If they had a set of 4 black steel. Might of come off a crown vic police car.

I think trac's have only had steel for spares...
